Jones, using the . Randell Jones is an award-winning author and storyteller. He is the author of In the Footsteps of Daniel Boone and Before They Were Heroes at Kings Mountain as well as other books of the pioneer era and the American Revolution. Most of his books feature historical aspects of North Carolina, including From Time to Time in North Carolina and Scoundrels, Rogues, and Heroes of the Old North State.

    Scoundrels, Rogues, and Heroes of the Old North State, which he edited has recently been recorded as an audio book by the NC Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped for its sight-impaired. The writers series is open to the public and held in the Student Resource Center, also known as Building 7.
